The Story Behind #StopRWACrime
#StopRWACrime was started after repeated concerns involving financial transparency, corpus funds, maintenance expenditure, association governance, selective enforcement, access to records and the treatment of residents who questioned these matters.
What began as requests for explanations and supporting documents eventually led to complaints, legal notices and proceedings before multiple authorities.
This website documents the events, communications, evidence and legal developments connected with the case.
Documenting facts, communications and official records.
Supporting transparency and accountability in residential governance.
Improving both RWA governance and institutional response.
The Mission
#StopRWACrime exists to document questionable RWA practices, support residents who seek transparency, and push for stronger accountability both within residential associations and among the government bodies responsible for regulating them.
Residents should be able to question how their money is collected and spent, access records that concern them, and raise legitimate concerns without intimidation, retaliation or selective treatment.
Complaints submitted to police, registrars, municipal bodies, RERA and other competent authorities should also be acknowledged, examined and acted upon responsibly rather than being ignored, unnecessarily delayed or repeatedly passed between offices.
The objective is simple: make residential associations more transparent and accountable, and make the authorities responsible for supervising them more responsive, effective and answerable when residents seek help.
